| 2 huge news items: It stopped raining and you can see the outline of our garage. Yes, after 3 weeks of almost constant rain the skies cleared. Half of the work crew lives in Ventura and were unable to come work because of the La Conchita mudslide. But still the results
from 3 days of work is visually dramatic. |

Added to last week's center beam is the ribbing needed to support the plywood,
paper and eventually the tile. We're probably making too big a deal out of this
but after 3 weeks of cabin fever ( I even went shopping willingly) seeing a part
of the final house outline is thrilling. We are excitedly waiting to see the
second floor framing take shape but first they will have to join the new and old
foundations. That probably won't look that dramatic but it will help keep the
underside of the house drier when it rains again.
