| Plans Submitted to the City for Required Review. |

| After months of revisions we submitted the plans to the City today. They expect to complete their review no sooner than July 6, 2004. There are hundreds of remodeling projects going on in this city of 90,000 so you can imagine that the Planning and Building departments have lots of work to do. The July 6 date is their estimate of the soonest they will be done. |
 Of course we want it sooner, but if they can complete it by then we'll be thrilled. The City does allow the public to view the status of all submitted projects by visiting their website. It's very neat really. I imagine that Joan and I will dramatically increase their page hit count as our due date nears.
2 things will be happening in parallel with the City's plan check process: - Our contractor will send our plans to his subcontractors so that he can prepare a bid for us. He expects that he will be ready with a bid about the same time that the City finishes with our plans.
- We (mostly Joan) will continue to review the plans to help eliminate errors (there are a lot of details in these plans, like window sizes) that can get screwed up and to finalize some of our more detailed choices.
