Business Experience: over 20 years of software development and support at a major supplier to Fortune 500 companies. Responsible for product design, coding and testing, level 1, 2 and 3 support, technical publications, product marketing and quality assurance at various times during career. Web Design Experience: I have created web pages that approximate features found in many popular commercial sites like:

slide shows,
news articles, and
photo viewers.

I have used ASP (Active Server Pages) and JavaScript to accomplish these tasks.

The best site is one that can be easily maintained by the customer rather than the author. My web design implements slide shows and photo viewers can be extended simply by uploading new files that conform to a simple naming convention.

My web designs make extensive use of Visual Basic for Applications to create dynamic tables from MS Excel. This might be very helpful if you need to convert internal documents to web pages without the massive overhead created by the MS Office conversion tools.

Years of close interaction with product marketing departments has given me a strong insight into what is needed to form and deliver a company's message. My technical publications background taught me simple techniques for effectively delivering written descriptions.

Web Design Pricing:	Description
Development	Once we've agreed on the general design of your site, I charge $25/hour until the site is in production.
Hosting	Your pages have to reside someplace where the entire internet can access them. We can use my hosting service (at no charge to you) while we are developing the site. Once you are ready to go into production you'll want a domain name and site of your own. We can accomplish that for $50/year.
Maintenance	You'll probably want to add pictures and articles to your site after completing the web design. We should be sure to design your site so you can add and activate both pictures and articles without my intervention to save you money. If you want to extend the web design with new pages and new features we will negotiate the pricing after we've specified the deliverables.
